JTC Raises Over £100,000 Through Employee-Led Fundraising Initiative

Teams from across JTC’s global network helped raise £100,000 over the course of 2022 as part of a fundraising initiative marking the firm’s 35th anniversary which was aimed at supporting local charities that specifically benefitted young people.

As part of its ‘Maximising Potential’ programme, employees from across the Group’s offices organised and hosted a broad range of fundraising events in their local communities over the year, raising a grand total of £106,506 for 24 different charities in more than 20 locations spanning Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia – reinforcing the firm’s ‘stronger together’ ethos.

The charities benefiting were selected by employees in each of JTC’s offices, with fundraising highlights over the year included Amsterdam’s Kikathlon, Cape Town’s Mandela Day celebrations, Edinburgh’s mountain climbing, the Tough Mudder in Fareham, a quiz night in Guernsey and a charity raffle in Jersey.

JTC also made donations to support all the selected charities, with the Isle of Man team receiving an additional £500 donation towards their chosen charity for 2023 in recognition of being the Group’s ‘top fundraiser’ per employee. They successfully raised £3,000 for their charity of choice, Isle Listen, with a dress down day, a 10 degree cold water swim and taking part in the Wirral Costal Walk.

The firm’s overall fundraising success in 2022 means that, since the launch of Maximising Potential in 2021, more than £190,000 has been donated to charities around the world, all supporting young people in diverse ways.
