JTC Donates and Raises £15,000 to Jersey Cancer Charity Through Anniversary Fundraising Initiative

JTC’s team in Jersey has donated and raised £15,000 for local cancer charity CLIC Sargent as part of a fundraising initiative over the course of 2022 designed to mark the firm’s 35th anniversary that year and aimed at encouraging employees across its global network to support local causes.

The teams based at JTC House, the company headquarters, organised and hosted a number of events over the 12 months, including a ‘re-style’ shop, where people could purchase donated clothes, a director dress-up event, with colleagues paying to match directors with a novelty outfit to wear for a day and a bumper Christmas raffle.

In total, an impressive £11,500 was raised by staff through the fundraising events, with JTC adding a donation of a further £3,500 to the pot.

CLIC Sargent, the 2022 chosen charity for JTC’s Jersey office, is an independent local charity formed to ensure that every child and young person with cancer and their family receives the financial and emotional support they need.

The fundraising efforts formed part of JTC’s global Maximising Potential programme which saw employees across its international network of offices organise fundraising activities for local charities that specifically benefit young people. In total, as a result of the efforts of JTC’s people and donations from JTC Group, more than £100,000 was raised, benefitting 24 worthy causes across more than 20 locations.

In particular, the re-style shop demonstrated an innovative approach to raising funds in a way that echoed JTC’s values as a business, intent on operating sustainably while also contributing to the local community.

“These initiatives represent a significant contribution to our global aim to help drive positive change and support young people around the world. CLIC Sargent is a wonderful charity that provides a much needed service on the island and I hope these funds will go some way to support the vital work they do.”
